Dyer County career drug offender sentenced to over 12 years in federal prison

Jackson, TN – William Frank Perry, 49, has been sentenced to 151 months in federal prison for three counts of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, crack cocaine and marijuana. D. Michael Dunavant, U.S. Attorney announced the sentence today.

Crockett County man sentenced to federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm

Christopher Ethan Webb, 24, of Crockett County, TN has been sentenced to 57 months in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm. D. Michael Dunavant, U.S. Attorney, announced the sentence today, October 15, 2020.

Dyer County COVID-19 update for October 15

With the release of the Tennessee Department of Health’s (TDH) daily COVID-19 update on Thursday, the department reported Dyer County as having a total of 1,874 COVID-19 cases, which consist of confirmed and probable cases. Additionally, the TDH said that Dyer County had 333 active cases with 1,517 recoveries/inactive cases.

Born Friday, December 28, 1934, in Newbern, Tennessee, he was the son of the late R. L. Austin and the late VeOnnia Leach Austin.
