DCHS announces 2021 Girls State delegates

Dyer County High School recently announced the delegates selected to attend American Legion Auxiliary Volunteer Girls State’s virtual program from June 1-4. Representing DCHS at the event are Madison Warren, Sydney Campbell, Emma Chandler, and Jenna Claire Armstrong. They will join other outstanding incoming seniors from across Tennessee to learn more about local and state government.

Traveled the world and seen it all, WWII veteran and local painter celebrates 100 years this month

Franklin T. Crider, born March 3, 1921 is celebrating 100 years this month. Celebrations were held at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg hospital March 12 where Crider, beloved by many, volunteered every day up until Covid-19 closed the doors on outside visitors.
