NASHVILLE – Lily Cravens has been named the 2022 National Dairy Month Chairman for Dyer County. Cravens was honored May 26 at the Tennessee June Dairy Month Kickoff Event at Battle Mountain Farm in College Grove. Dyer County Democratic Party to host fish fry at Okeena Park Friday evening

Members of the Dyer County Democratic Party are planning a fish-fry fundraiser on Friday, June 10 at Okeena Park. Tickets are $10 and available from any member of the local party and at the fish fry. The event will be an opportunity for candidates to meet and greet those in attendance. The public is invited to attend. Students presented Community Resource Development scholarships at reception

On May 24, the Tennessee State University Cooperative Extension Community Resource Development Organization held their 47th annual Community Resource Development Scholarship Reception at the extension office. The organization recognized the seven students, from either Dyer County High School or Dyersburg High School, who each received a $1,000 scholarship.
