Second-half shooting woes doom Dyer County in state quarterfinals

Despite holding a three-point lead at the half, the Lady Choctaws struggled to score in the third and fourth quarters as South Gibson dominated the second half to take a 46-29 victory over Dyer County in the quarterfinals of the TSSAA Class AAA State Tournament in the Murphy Center on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro.

Lady Trojans fall to Elizabethton in Class AAA Quarterfinals

Dyersburg’s turnaround season came to an end on Tuesday afternoon in Murfreesboro as Elizabethton withstood the Lady Trojan storm early before pulling away in the third quarter on the way to a 66-54 win over the black and gold in the Murphy Center at Middle Tennessee State University.

Additionally, the committee discussed updates regarding courthouse renovations.
