Lady Trojan season ends as Cougars rally to take region semifinal

Though Dyersburg was able to take an early lead in the Region 7AAA Softball Semifinal on Monday evening in Munford, the Lady Trojans were unable to answer a Munford rally which saw the Lady Cougars score three times in the third inning before adding an insurance run late to win 5-3 and eliminate the black and gold softball team.

State Senator Jackson announces $82.65M in budget for technical education, community college

State Senator Ed Jackson (R-Jackson) today announced $82.65 million in state funding for technical and community colleges in Senate District 25. The appropriated funds are part of a $56.2 billion budget passed by the General Assembly in April. Other priorities in the budget included efforts to strengthen families, bolster school safety, improve education, create new opportunities for economic development, and modernize transportation.
