Budget Committee tentatively approves budgets for DC School System, Sheriff’s Department

The Dyer County Budget Committee convened Tuesday, May 16, to discuss the 2023-24 budgets for the Dyer County Sheriff’s Department and Dyer County Schools. Additionally, the committee discussed contract negotiations with Medical Center EMS that will be brought before the Dyer County Legislative Body in June.

Local Government OKs resolutions for property standards, red flag laws

The Dyer County Local Government committee convened Wednesday, May 17, to discuss adopting regulations governing the health and safety standards of residential and non-residential properties, and a resolution requesting the General Assembly to preserve 2nd Amendment rights.
