State Gazette Cross Country Female Runner of the Year: Dyer County’s Addie Roberson

Coming off a senior season where she just missed qualifying for the TSSAA Class A-AA State Meet after reaching the final race of the season twice in her career, Dyer County’s Addie Roberson has been named the State Gazette Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year for the 2022-23 school year.

Swift trial reset to January 8, 2024

Originally set for September 11, 2023, the trial of David Swift has now been moved to January 8, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. Swift and attorney Daniel Taylor of Spragins, Barnett & Cobb PLC appeared in Dyer County Circuit Court Tuesday, June 6, at 1 p.m.

Local players participate in West Tennessee Rising Star and All-Star Game

Just a few weeks after the end of the high school soccer season five local seniors were given one more chance to take the field as a Trojan or Choctaw at the West Tennessee All Star Match in Milan. Before the senior match took place, four underclassmen were selected to play in the annual West Tennessee Rising Star Game on Friday night.
