Pollinator garden at Three Oaks is generating all the buzz

On a drive down Upper Finley Rd. it’s hard not to notice the large patch of orange and red flowers blanketing the southeast side of Three Oaks Middle School. Camille Hunter, a 6th-grade teacher at Three Oaks Middle School, and her husband, Chris, a TWRA biologist, helped start the pollinator garden in the spring of 2022. Camille says the garden has now become a project cared for by the entire school staff and provides an opportunity for students to learn more about the importance of pollinators and insects while engaging in real-life study.

Erin Meeks named new Dyer County Coed Cheer head coach

With a combined quarter century of experience stepping down after the 2022-23 school year, Dyer County’s Coed Cheerleading program will have a new face leading the way as Erin Meeks has been named the new head coach for the orange and white competitive cheer squad.
