Emergency Medical Services Oversight Committee gets ambulance call figures, discusses availability of EMS at football games

Meeting on Thursday, August 17, 2023, the EMS Oversight Committee discussed ambulance availability for the county, as well as July figures, and local school games. Dyer County Mayor David Quick attended, as did board members, Chairman, Fire Chief Brett Sipes, Dyer County Commissioner Doug Singleteary, E911 Coordinator Jason Roberts, Emergency Service Director Gloria Spence, Dyer County Consultant Stephen Sutton, Emergency Management Director James Medlin, and Dyer County 911 Director Bobbi Jowers. Medical Center Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Executive Director Joyce Noles delivered a report to the board.

This week’s Pet of The Week is Tennessee. He is around four years old and weighs approximately 65 lbs. He is up to date on all his vaccinations and is already neutered. He is heartworm negative. Tennessee needs a special situation and a special person to share his life with. Due to an injury he sustained earlier this year, he is missing a back leg but, don’t worry because that won’t slow him down in getting to you for all of the pets, hugs, and love.
