Depot Days brings games, music, and a colorful touch to downtown Newbern

Visitors and venders at Newbern’s Depot Days festival were treated to sunny day and a perfect breeze on Saturday. September 18, 2023. Merchandise vendors displayed flowers, beads, clothes, crafts, and jewelry. Food vendors sold popcorn, funnel cakes, baked goods, jumbo corndogs, coffee, and more. Children played the bouncy castle and slide and got their faces painted in a variety of designs. It was a festival for the senses that saw live music, cake walks, and pull-train rides. Visitors also had the opportunity to visit the Newbern Depot Museum. And true to Newbern’s hospitality, the festival welcomed a diverse crowd of people who came together to see old friends and to make new ones.
