Travel softball team donates $1600 to Dyer County Community Cancer Fund

On Saturday, October 14, 2023, Fury Platinum 12-U traveling softball team donated $1,600 to the Dyer County Community Cancer Fund. Funds were raised during the Pink-It-Out softball tournament in Martin, TN. Each team contributed $25 toward the donation and their coach, David Rousch, matched their donation from his own pocket. Rousch stated that some of the team members’ families have faced cancer and the team wanted to help others currently battling cancer, as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Dyersburg Street Rod Association (DSRA) has done it again! On Saturday, October 14, 2023, during the Dyer County Bicentennial celebration in downtown Dyersburg, funds raised from the vintage car show was donated to help Dyer Countians battling cancer.
