A new gym in the future for Future City Recreation Center

Dyersburg’s quality of life initiatives continue with plans to build a new gym at the Future City Recreation Center on St. Joseph Avenue. The city recently demolished the old tennis court, where the gym is to be built. They demolished the wading pool as well. What the city will place there is yet to be finalized.

Courthouse renovations begin

Exterior renovations have begun at the Dyer County Courthouse in downtown Dyersburg. The building was originally built in 1911-1912, with improvements made over the years. In 2024, expect scaffolding on the exterior.
