Scott William McIver Scott William McIver, age 60, of Dyersburg, TN passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. Mr. McIver was born on December 12, 1963 in Detroit, MI to Kendell McIver and the late Margaret Leitch McIver. Lady Trojans battle through challenge from Gibson County

Dyer County runs winning streak to five with win over Wildcats

Though Fayette Ware was able to score early and take the lead against Dyer County, the Choctaws stormed back to shutout the Wildcats for the final 75 minutes while scoring seven times themselves to take a 7-1 win on Monday night in Newbern. Code enforcement issues certified letters to property owners responsible for dilapidated state of Mall Loop Rd.

Since early 2018, many Dyer County residents have found themselves darting around two noticeably large potholes located on Mall Loop Road, near exit driveways of Taco Bell and Arby’s, a property which is owned by Action Properties, a company based out of Yazoo City, Miss. -- the same company which also owns the Dyersburg Mall.

Big Cavalier sixth dooms Dyersburg in District 13AAA tilt

CRD Awards Ceremony to be held April 13 with guest speaker Orentheus Taylor

The Community Resource Development (CRD) will be hosting its annual scholarship banquet this Saturday, April 13, at Dyersburg Middle School, at 6 p.m. During the awards banquet, scholarship awards will be presented to high school student leaders who have invested their time toward extracurricular activities, church involvement, and community involvement, while displaying exemplary character, citizenship, empathy, and communication skills.
