A Dyersburg man who forged checks on his mother's account pleaded guilty Tuesday in Dyer County Circuit Court and was sentenced to serve six months in jail. Mike D. Barton, 47, of 324 Fakes Ave, pleaded guilty to a charge of forgery worth less than $1,000 and was sentenced by Judge Lee Moore to the term in the Dyer County Jail and to serve one year, six months of community corrections (house arrest). He also must pay $1,330 in restitution...
