License plate controversy imperils local school funding

Elimination of specialty license plates in Tennessee could cost the Dyersburg-Dyer County Education Foundation about 10 percent of its budget for funding projects for local teachers. "Money from the plates gives us probably $1,000 a year," said Joe Emery, president of the local education foundation board of directors.
