Inaugural washer pitchin' contest waged

The Dyersburg Activity Center celebrated a classic pastime last weekend with its first Washer Pitchin' Contest. DAC officials are pleased with the community turnout for the event and hope to host it again next year. Revised city route made for semi rigs

Heavy trucks rolling through downtown Dyersburg will no longer be directed down Harrell Avenue, if the alternate truck route recommended by the city's safety committee is passed.
