Quebecor pays full electric bill in spite of bankruptcy action

Quebecor's recent bankruptcy will not affect the bottom line for Dyersburg Electric System, Power Board members found out at the organization's regular meeting on Wednesday, July 29. Dyersburg Electric System President and CEO Jimmy Williamson reported that DES received bankruptcy papers that would have allowed the industry to forego paying an electric bill of $199,000. Shortly after receiving the bankruptcy documents, DES officials received a check from Quebecor for the full amount of the bill...
