Arvel Ray Davis, 79, of Newbern, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was co-owner of Tri-County Farmers Equipment, a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, and a member and deacon of Fairview Baptist Church. Dyersburg police seek armed robber

An armed robbery occurred at the Check Into Cash store, 1677 Highway 51 Bypass, Monday at approximately 1:30 p.m. The suspect was armed with a handgun and took an undetermined amount of cash from the business.
