Christmas at Sorghum Valley spreads holiday cheer to young and old

Hundreds of people came to the Dyer County fairgrounds to take part in the Christmas celebration during Christmas at Sorghum Valley. Despite the cold temperatures, visitors were warmed by the sights, sounds and smells of the holiday season. Strolling choirs sang Christmas classics to visitors as they sipped hot chocolate and coffee. City board to meet Dec. 21

The Dyersburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet on Monday, Dec. 21, with a public hearing for an off-premises beer permit request from Alex R. Ikbariah on its agenda. Phase II of 311 service available to residents Jan. 1

Last fall, the city of Dyersburg became the first non-metropolitan area in the state to implement 311 service for its residents. Now city employees prepare for Phase II of the program to become available to residents on Jan. 1. Only the fourth city in Tennessee to provide the service, Dyersburg took its place alongside Chattanooga, Knoxville and Nashville/Davidson County and became the first city in West Tennessee to adopt the 311 calling number...
