DHS DECA members headed to state competition

DHS will send 23 students to the state competition in Franklin, Tenn. March 6 through 9. Driver of car involved in bus accident found at fault

The driver of the car involved in the Dyer County school bus accident that happened Friday, Feb. 19, was found to be at fault for the incident. The crash was witnessed by the responding Dyersburg police officer. House lost to fire in Lenox, no injuries

The Lenox Fire Department responded to a house fire on Tuesday at approximately 7:10 p.m. The residence at 14 Crawford St. was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived on the scene. Dyer County Fire Chief James Medling said the homeowner was believed to be away at the time of the fire. It took the Lenox Fire Department, with backup from the Finley Fire Department and a Dyersburg tanker, 30 minutes to bring the fire under control...

Arriving in Arlington 45 minutes prior to tipoff, a few minutes was spent in the parking lot of Bolton High School simply watching car after car quickly come to rest as the 'Choctaw Nation' converged on the Region 7-AAA tournament. If one didn't know any better it seemed like a home game for the Choctaw basketball squad as a sea of orange-wearing fans quickly entered the gym to cheer on their favorite squad...
