Suspects arrested on meth charges after traffic stop

Two suspects are out on bond and awaiting their appearance in Dyer County General Sessions Court after being arrested on drug charges on Christmas Eve during a traffic stop. Patrick Sanderson, 32, 1305 Brayton Ave., Dyersburg, Tenn. and Heather Pilgrim, 25, 305 Easley Road, Newbern, Tenn. were arrested around 2 a.m. on Dec. 25 on Highway 51 in Dyer County...

5th Special Forces visits Dyersburg for duck-hunting trip

The 5th Special Forces is visiting Dyersburg for a duck-hunting trip to allow soldiers to take a break from serving in the front lines and be served instead. The community of Dyersburg welcomed the soldiers Wednesday, Jan. 2 through Friday, Jan. 4 with events coordinated by Shane Hall, event coordinator for the Tennessee Chapter of the National Wildlife Turkey Federation. The soldiers were treated to a meal at Lupo's as well as a good old-fashioned Southern meal on Thursday evening at the Dyer County Fairgrounds. Due to the sensitive nature of the missions undertaken by these soldiers they cannot be identified in these photos.
