Three Oaks honors football team with annual banquet

Matthew 25:40 receives $1,000 from car enthusiasts

On Friday, Oct. 21, the Barely Legal Automotive Enthusiasts Car Club as well as Jimmy Deese's Have Microphone Will Travel donated a check of $1,000 to Matthew 25:40. The amount donated were the proceeds from the Rolling on the River Car Show that was held at the downtown Farmers Market during the Main Street Fall Festival last month. 'Give them [Barely Legal] credit,' said Deese. 'Without their help there wouldn't have been a car show. These are great guys. They're open for new members, and they support local charities and the community.' Also on hand for the check presentation were Steve Guttery, director of Downtown Development for the Dyersburg/ Dyer County Chamber of Commerce and Lauren Wooldridge of Matthew 25:40.

DFD shares fire-safety tips at intermediate school
