Down by two heading into the final inning, Dyer County rallied to tie the game in the top of the seventh only to have the Panthers turn the tables in the bottom of the frame, winning on a walkoff single 4-3 on Tuesday evening at Bartlett. The Lady Choctaws picked up a pair of blowout wins on Tuesday to open District 13AAA action as the Dyer County softball team had no trouble from visiting Liberty in a doubleheader sweep which took a combined six innings over the two games.

Mayor Young’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt set for March 31

Main Street Dyersburg and Dyer County Adult Leadership will present Mayor Young's Annual Easter Egg Hunt on the courthouse lawn this year on Saturday, March 31 at 1 p.m. Bring your Easter basket and come as you are. The Easter egg hunt at the courthouse is certainly a casual affair and children through age 8 are urged to attend.
