WWII Air Corps vet treated to flight

On Tuesday morning, 98-year-old World War II Army Air Corps veteran and Newbern resident James Haskins ‘Hack’ McCullough once again took to the sky, as he was a passenger in a Piper Cherokee 6 aircraft. Taking McCullough, along with daughter Sandra Cadinha from California, were Lance Winn and Dyer County resident Hunter Grills of the Pilots for Christ Arkansas Chapter.

Dyersburg Board OKs resolution for $4M loan, bids

On Monday, the City of Dyersburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen convened for their regular scheduled meeting inside the Municipal Building courtroom at 7 p.m. Following the approval of minutes, the board heard various items of new business, including 2 resolutions that would aid in the funding of $4.6 million of capital outlay projects, which was approved by the board and listed in the current year’s budget.
