Budget continuation may compromise $400K grant for downtown Newbern

In a nearly 2-hour long meeting held Tuesday night, the Newbern Board of Mayor and Aldermen discussed multiple agenda items to no resolve as restricted spending due to the lack of a 2018-19 budget led to multiple items being tabled until the August meeting, including a Downtown Enhancement Phase II Grant totaling $486,720.
