Dyersburg Board approves school system budget

On Monday, June 3 at 7 p.m., the Dyersburg Board of Mayor and Alderpersons convened for their regularly scheduled meeting inside the courtroom of the Municipal Building. With only few items of new business on the agenda, the highlight of the meeting was the review of minutes from the previous Finance Committee meetings held May 22-23 and June 3 as well as the actions taken by the committee.

New state cell phone law for drivers to go into effect July 1st

A new Tennessee law banning the use of handheld cell phones while driving will take effect on July 1, 2019. Governor Bill Lee signed the proposed bill into law on Friday, May 24.
