Local recording artist finding success in music career

Dustin Bailey, native of Tatumville and 2008 Dyer County High School graduate, has spent nearly a decade as a rap/hip hop/ R&B artist. Performing and writing under his stage name D.Beezy, his determination and never-give-up attitude has guided him to many milestone accomplishments. Recently, Bailey had a single reach 10,000 streams in the first week of a release, a rare occurrence for an independent artist, and also released a song that would get the blood pumping for any Tennessee Volunteers football fan.

Distributor makes donation to mission’s Weekend Food for Kids backpack program

Recently, Ben E. Keith Foods Company Mid-South, of Little Rock, Arkansas, donated multiple items to the New Life Union Mission for their Weekend Food for Kids (WFFK) backpack program. The food donation was initiated by local resident and Ben E. Keith district sales representative Matt Madden. Receiving the donation was New Life Union Mission President and CEO Neal Chatham.

Dyer County hits the road to Troy looking to stay unbeaten

After a dominant performance last Friday night which saw the Choctaws open the season with a win for the first time since 2015, Dyer County has a chance to move to 2-0 to open the season tonight for the first time in seven years as the orange and white make the shortest trip of the schedule to Troy tonight to face the Obion County Central Rebels.

No.5 Dyersburg pulls away late against Brighton

Entering Friday’s contest against Brighton, No.5-ranked Dyersburg faced a much tougher task than the opening game of the season as the Cardinals tested the Trojans from start to finish. However, when the final seconds ticked from the clock at J.C. Sawyers Stadium, the Trojans had survived, pulling away in the second half to win, 35-21.
