Dyer County COVID-19 update for January 14

With the release of the Tennessee Department of Health’s (TDH) daily COVID-19 update on Thursday, the department reported Dyer County as having a total of 4,664 COVID-19 cases, which consist of confirmed and probable cases. Additionally, the TDH said that Dyer County had 342 active cases with 4,241 recoveries/inactive cases. The total number of deaths due to the virus remained at 81.

Dyersburg man arrested on attempted murder charge

On Thursday, January 14, Dyersburg Police arrested Zachachaues Maclin, 30, of Dyersburg, on an attempted murder charge. According to DPD, Maclin was suspected of stabbing a 29-year-old Newbern man Thursday morning.
