Agents seize a suspected 1/4 pound of meth in Dyersburg, apprehend suspects

In the early morning hours of Sunday, March 24, agents with the 29th District West Tennessee Drug Task Force in Dyersburg were conducting surveillance during a drug investigation. They observed a vehicle pulling into a business in the four points area of Dyer County and suspected that the driver had no license. As they conducted a traffic stop, the driver fled on foot. Agents did not immediately chase the fleeing suspect.

Transitions of Dyer County raises over $8,000 during 11th Annual Butterfly Run

Despite the early morning cold wind and low temperatures, the Transitions Butterfly Run kicked off at 10 a.m. with a large crowd of runners and walkers making their way to the Dyer County Fairgrounds. Sticking to tradition, the race featured 10K and 5K runs and a 2-mile walk/run option. Following the race, participants were treated to donuts, s’mores, and refreshments.
