The RSVP Club in Newbern took part in an annual tradition on Thursday, April 4. Members of the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program have put their hands to work for the community by folding Relay for Life luminary bags since the event first came to Dyer County. The project is a significant part of the ceremony to honor residents who have been touched by cancer. On Thursday morning, the project and the RSVP volunteers were also a recognized with a proclamation for the Mayor's National Service Recognition Day. County Commissioner Brandon Dodds and Eaton Corp Luminary Co-Chair Courtney Boone joined RSVP Director Carolyn Finley and RSVP Coordinator Shirley Criswell at the event.
