Cattle Receipts: 2006 Last week: 948 Last year: 1370
Compared to the same sale last week, Slaughter cows and bulls steady.
Steers under 400 lbs 4.00 to 9.00 higher, over 400 lbs steady to 5.00
higher. Heifers steady to 2.00 higher. Bulls under 650 lbs steady to 5.00
higher, over 650 lbs steady.
Feeders: 1771 Slaughter: 195 Replacements: 40
Slaughter cows made up 9 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 1
percent, replacement cows 2 percent, and feeders 88 percent. The feeder
supply included 39 percent steers, 48 percent heifers, and 13 percent
bulls. Near 29 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
