Coach Jerome Agnew

Dyersburg High School

Coach Jerome Agnew is a special education teacher, an assistant football coach, a FCA sponsor, and our baseball game administrator at Dyersburg High School.

Agnew is patient and kind. He builds relationships with his students and their families. He is intentional about preparing his students for options after high school.

Agnew incorporates a variety of career opportunities in his classroom and has transition plans in place for each of his students. This school year his students have co-authored, illustrated, and published a book entitled “The Mysterious Galaxy.”

Agnew has worked with his department to offer his students on campus work-based learning opportunities at the Trojan Perk Coffee Shop or The Muffin Shop on campus. He is exploring other career based partnerships for his students in our community so that they are more informed and better prepared for their careers or post-secondary options after they leave Dyersburg High School.
