Shelter holds unclaimed horse

The Dyersburg/Dyer County Animal Shelter has picked up a horse in the vicinity of Dyersburg State Community College. The animal has not yet been claimed. The horse is currently being taken care of at a location other than the Animal Shelter. If the horse is not claimed in near future, Humane Society officials will adopt it out...

Dyersburg State Community College's upcoming presentations by Arun Gandhi, the grandson of India's late spiritual leader Mohandas Karamchand "Mahatma" Gandhi will be postponed from Monday, Nov. 9 to Monday, Nov. 16. Teen accused of burglary sent to DCS

A 16-year-old Dyersburg boy accused of burglarizing the Plaza Food Center was committed Wednesday to the Department of Children's Services. The teen-ager and two 18-year-olds were arrested Sept. 3 after allegedly throwing a brick through the grocery store window on South Main Street. A trail of bloody footprints led to the boy's apartment. He received cuts to both of his legs and was taken to the hospital for treatment...

Dyersburg Police Department investigators are asking for the public's assistance in identifying two subjects believed to be involved in a number of thefts and the fraudulent use of credit cards in the West Tennessee area.
