Community Orchestra concert features trombone, vocalist and typewriter

The Dyersburg Community Orchestra will give a concert at 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church. DSCC to present 'Tuesdays with Morrie'

This fall, Dyersburg State Community College's theater department will present 'Tuesdays with Morrie', starring Chris McClain as sportswriter and author Mitch Albom and DSCC professor Bobby Solmon as his favorite college professor, Morrie Schwartz. The play chronicles the relationship between Albom and Schwartz and the life lessons learned by Albom each week as he visits his mentor who struggles with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease...

City golf course sets winter rates

The Dyersburg Municipal Golf Course will offer seasonal rates this winter after a joint committee meeting Nov. 6 in the conference room at the golf course. Members of the Recreation and Finance committees approved a recommendation by DMGC Superintendent and Manager Bobby Baker to lower rates for area golfers throughout the winter.
