This week’s Dyersburg High School Student Spotlight representative is Morgan Gonzalez. Morgan is a senior and the daughter of Ariel Gonzalez and Erica Scheffer. Durbin honored as Northwest TN Superintendent of the Year

On Monday at 5:30 p.m., the Dyersburg City School Board convened for its regular board meeting inside the Central Office boardroom. Prior to new business, Tennessee Organization of School Superintendents (TOSS) Executive Director, Dr. Dale Lynch, took a moment to speak to the board members and announce that Dyersburg City Schools Director Neel Durbin had been selected as 2019 TOSS Northwest Tennessee Superintendent of the Year.

Dyer County deputy dies due to injuries suffered in wreck on Highway 412

Thursday morning, August 9, Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box confirmed deputy Clint Wallace, 37, of Dyersburg, passed away while under the care of Regional One in Memphis. Wallace was being treated for critical injuries sustained following a one-vehicle crash on Wednesday, August 8, on U.S. 412 in Crockett County.
