Possible fireworks theft after school break-in prompts concern

Pedestrian struck by hit-and-run driver

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred early Saturday morning south of Halls. According to the patrol report, a pedestrian walking on U.S. Highway 51 near Dry Hill Road was hit by vehicle at about 1:10 a.m. The car is described as white with a long wheelbase and may be a Dodge Intrepid or similar vehicle with a license plate that may be a Tennessee special issue plate with the smallmouth bass image on the left side...

Record-breaking benefit in October for cancer help

For the Community Cancer Fund, October has always been a big fund-raising month. This year, however, surpassed the previous ones.
