Police to increase patrols on Halloween

The Dyersburg Police Department will increase the number of officers working on Halloween with an emphasis on traffic. "There is going to be a lot of pedestrian traffic on the street and we are urging all motorists to observe extreme caution and slow down," said Dyersburg Police Department Capt. Steve Isbell. Dickson, Waverly National Guard units returning home Saturday

The Tennessee National Guard units from Dickson and Waverly, comprising the 267th Military Police Company, are scheduled to return to Tennessee on Saturday, Oct. 31, after a year's deployment to Iraq. Due to changes in army scheduling, the location has once again changed. The soldiers are still scheduled to arrive at approximately 9:30 p.m., but at the Nashville International Airport. The exact location is still undetermined...
